Friggin' Se7en, Man. That and Blair Witch. I'll cheat and choose another -- Ju-On (the original Japanese version of The Grudge).

    P.S. I'm loving the movie-related threads you've been starting. :)

Another vote for 'It'. On SkyOne when I was younger. Scared The bejesus out of me.

And the first Omen film too. Creepy shit.

@Kango: Didn't really find Alien scary. Seemed to be more action than horror. Haven't seen Wolf yet.

@yoann55: Saw that recently and it's still good but nothing compared to the first time i saw it

@sxoop: The Descent is an excellent choice. Good use of suspense.

@micflan: I remeber it on SkyOne too but can't remember the film itself.

@jezlyn:The only bit in Blair Witch that I can think of was in the basement at the end...guess i shouldn't say any more. Haven't seen se7en yet. Ju-On was much better than the western version I think. And 28 days later was just fun :)

Salems Lot frightened me but for real terror...

@Adventsparky: Yeah, mainly it was the basement scene (and looking at the walls on the way down to the basement) that freaked me out, but there were a few more things that were really scary for me. You can laugh, but I didn't sleep well for a week after I saw that movie!

I am not a fan of Brad Pitt, and it wasn't really my idea to watch se7en. While I hate that movie for freaking me out so bad, I begrudgingly admit it must've been good if it did freak me out like that. :P

I still want to dress up like the lady from Ju-On one Halloween... I have the long, black hair to do it. :) BTW, if you haven't already, try to track down the original straight-to-video version of Ju-On (it's the very first incarnation of the movie). It's not as polished as the Japanese theatrical version, but I think it's creepier and a bit more gory. The effects are definitely low-budget, but I think it's probably the best version as far as scary impact.

I can't say that 28 Days Later was fun, Man. That theme song really creeps me out when I remember it. And the fact that the infected run so fast, and the infection spreads so fast is the scariest bit to me, since there could be actual diseases that could spread like that (not ones that turn you into a bloodthirsty, psycho, running person, but still). shudder But I do love to watch that movie, and 28 Weeks Later was a decent sequel.

@Festoon: Haven't seen Salem's Lot. There are a bunch of the older movies mentioned in this thread that I haven't seen; should add them to Netflix.

@jezlyn: I have a soft spot for 'zombie' or living dead movies. Loved the way they could run full speed and the intro of 28 Weeks Later was amazing, great lead in to the film. Just checked Youtube to link to the intro but could only find it in two parts. I'm sure you know what I mean though.

@Festoon: Never saw that either. Will def check it out.
